Name matches are best guesses: confirm the city and license number. Not found doesn't always mean unlicensed; see the FAQ below.

Frequently asked questions
- What does the license checker cover?
- Active fire protection licenses and registrations in Texas (fire sprinkler, alarm and extinguisher) and California (C-16 fire protection), refreshed from state records. A company that isn't found may be unlicensed, expired, suspended, listed under a different legal name, or licensed in a state we don't cover yet.
- Is a match proof that a vendor is licensed?
- It means the license appeared in the state's records when we last refreshed them. For a final check before signing a contract, confirm the license number in the state's official lookup, which every company page links to.
